Angry Freedom Kilts Web Site down!

As some of you may know I have been having some problems finding a web designer to handle the re-design of the FK site.

This afternoon the kid who was hosting the site pulled it off his server.

The site will be down until Monday afternoon at the soonest.

Apologies to all.

Urk! Is this the same person you paid to design the site, but never finished? I'd think there's a breach of contract suit in there....

Yep, same guy.

I'm angry, I'm hurt, and I'm missing orders.

Never, ever, ever, hire a friend of a friend.

Steve, do you have access to your url registration? You can park it with Google Apps and at least get an info page up in the mean time.

I know we all dislike lawyers, but seriously, it may be time to get one involved. With the kind of money you're talking about having spent, for this kid to have acted this way is not just reprehensible, but actionable. Not only is there the money out of your pocket, there's the lost orders to think about.

Appaloosa Business Services is a great web service. It's the one I use for several organizations, etc. Also friends that own businesses use him, and all are very happy with the service, professionalism, etc.

Steve, if you need help getting something put up to explain why your site is away, let me know. We can get you a quick index page thrown together, so people won't think you've disappeared.

A thank you to all who have offered advice and help.
I have found a local hosting service that says they will have the site back up by Tue evening.

The site should be that same as what was on-line before. We are still looking for a developer to re-work the site.

Steve I know you've had problems with your site for months. I do hope that this is the end of the beginning and the beginning of the end (of your web problems that is). Rest assured your faithful followers will wait. In fact email me an invoice for Heritage Hose in oatmeal size 10..

I'm sorry Grant but I do not believe that the Oatmeal color will coordinate well with your royal vestments or with the chicken.

I will however send the invoice. The customer is always right. Doofus perhaps, but always right.
