Hey Steve, very cool with the underapron pocket...a notalgic tip of the hat to Pittsburgh Kilts....they're great for water bottles when hiking...and for nervous folks when the wind's blowing. Slip a rock in your underapron pocket and no worries....

No trophy required, believe me. I've kept reminding Steve throughout the good things in life are worth waiting for and this was no exception. My trophy for waiting patiently is the end result.

And yes, I know you are all wanting to see pictures of this kilt, but I'm not so sure I want to replace all the keyboards that are going to end up being drooled on.

Whilst waiting on HRH to arrive and drive the camera, I took a shot of the Freedom Kilts logo. Sadly, the flash washed out the Maple Leaf. I admit I had never noticed all the gray in this tartan and it was a pleasant surprise. I've nearly zero fashion sense, but Stevie Wonder and I can both see a lot of ways to pull the colors out of this tartan.

I present you my new Freedom Kilt in X Marks the Scot tartan. And somehow, all the images I had seen of this tartan really didn't do it much justice.

The left slash pocket, which is an addition I would recommend to everyone. I took my Freelander off for these pictures, but with the pockets a sporran isn't necessary. And if any of you pack your Freelanders the way I do, having pockets for things like a money clip or car keys is very handy, as it saves digging through the cavernous sporran.

The right slash pocket, with the under-apron pocket visible. I love the way the pocket blends right into the apron. It's nice touches like this that set kiltmakers apart from the rest of the pack.

The under-apron pocket has a small Velcro closure. Perfect for stashing some cash, driver's license, etc. (Ron, I don't think I want a rock in there, just between you and I.)

Yes, this kilt also has pleats!

I cannot say enough about the kilt. Having finally seen the tartan for myself, I admire it even more. Erin's craftsmanship (is craftswomanship a word?) is absolutely superb and this kilt fits as if it were actually tailored to me, rather than relying on a set of e-mailed measures. This kilt is first-cabin, all around.

Another extremely positive experience, dealing with Freedom Kilts.

WOW! I love how the slash pockets are invisible. Is it pleated to the gray stripe or no stripe? Regardless it is really great work. Kudos to Steve and his craftspeople!

Incredible pleatwork!!

Can see that underapron pocket is a bit more convenient that the PK ones were. Jeff had his more centered. Seems handier nearer the edge for easier access. The velcro closure on the underapron pocket is a great idea too.

You gotta be proud.

Thanks for the pics, they really show the kilt and all the wonderful refinements. Still with (all the hidden) pockets I'd still opt for the sporran just to hide the pockets even more.
