Hudson Bay Company tartan kilt

Back in late August or early September Steve posted a photo and e-mail about a Hudson Bay Company tartan that he had managed to track down. Much to the regret of my credit card I fell in love with it immediately and made arrangements with Steve to make a kilt in that tartan for me.

I just received it yesterday and it is a gorgeous kilt! Erin sewed it up and she did a magnificent job! So here are the obligatory photos.

And now for a close-up picture of the tartan:

And just in time for the cold weather, too!

A beautiful tartan. Congratulations on acquiring a very nice kilt. I like the subtle green, yellow and red lines with the dominant greya.
Well done Steve & Erin.

Yeah, the grey matches my hair... But at least I still got hair...

I do like that. What one needs to accompany that is an HBC blanket coat.

WOW! That tartan made an even better kilt than I imagined. Well done Erin.

Agreed! I'll have to try to locate a HBC store the next time I'm in the Burlington area. Which will be in September at the latest.

Let us know perhaps we can make that kilt night happen this time. Oh and the Guiness shirt looks great with your new kilt.

We have two in Burlington but alas they don't seem to sell blanket coats anymore. One has to search ebay or the like. Although the picture I supplied is from a trading post in Wyoming!
