    I'd forgotten how it felt

It had been so long since I had ordered a kilt, I'd forgotten how it felt to wait.

I had been in the production queue for a while and just sent Steve my measures for a charcoal dress model, yesterday. I fired off the information and got on with life.

Until this afternoon, when he called to tell me that he had already washed my material and wanted to clear up a couple of little details with me. And now? I am officially in "Is It Done Yet, Is It Done Yet" mode.

As soon as I get that kilt in my hot, little hands, then I'll be looking for ways to gently remind him of the shirt & vest prototypes I liked so well. Steve, if you thought you could tease me like that and then just walk away, you've another thing coming!

    Ah, the joys of jonesing....

Keep the drooling to a minimum. Wives hate it when you drool all over the carpets.

Regarding the shirts and vests....you need to bug the wife about those (KiltedKnome). She has actually ordered in a lot of material (cotton, cotton/linen, and cotton/hemp) for the shirts, and is experimenting. There are a couple of local people who have offered to be guinea pigs as she perfects the design. I am not sure where she is on the vests. It has been a chaotic year.

If you guys bug her enough, she will be working on them and then perhaps I can get some work done.

Just don't allow her to stray too far from the original design, as I really do admire them both.

And point this thread out to her, if you please. I mean, you don't need to let it get in the way of crafting up my kilt , but let her know I am most interested.

I've admired them since the introduction. Not being the sharpest knife in the drawer , I just recently saw the versatility of owning one in a dark color. It can be a regular, daily wear kilt, or it can be a casual-dress kilt, with simple accessory changes.

KiltedKnome, are you here and reading this yet?

Look HERE. Scroll down to the last selection, The Dress Model.

Now look HERE in the Poly / Cotton Collection and you will see Charcoal.

Oh My! That dress model is one handsome garment! I had never really considered a contemporary kilt because I like the high waist of the trad style. This does open things up. I really like the side slash and rear welt pockets. Kinda pricey, but I can see the quality and attention to datail that goes into the construction.

    wish list just grew.
