Smile Isle of Skye redux

After seeing Steve's Isle of Skye kilt ( http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/a...327/index.html ) the scheme began. When ordering a rain cape ( http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/l...x.html?t=36510 ) for my wife, I commented: "Look, dear, it comes with tartan trim. Which would you like?"

"Oh, the Isle of Skye. It's my favorite!"

"Really? I should get a kilt to match, right?"

The specifications for Steve were easy: Like yours - my size.

Although the kilt had been completed and waiting for quite a while, picking it up was the apex of a two-week road trip from San Francisco to Seattle. Here's how it went.

In Seattle waiting for our transportation to Victoria.

Boarding the plane. It can only hold one piece of hand luggage per passenger.

Passed up a sale in Victoria.

This looks like the place!

As expected, Steve greeted us with his coffee cup in hand. Here's a view in the front of the shop. Looks like someone's ABU kilt on the table.

Elusive Erin hard at work.

Pleated to no stripe.

Oops! Gotta hitch up the sporran a little.

Thanks Steve and Erin for a beautiful and impeccable kilt. Will also be ordering more of the socks.

On a side note: Steve showed me the massive sheaf of correspondence he keeps on a single X-Marks order (the cap badge.) Hope you guys are appreciative.

Congratulations on the addition, what a great looking kilt, and outfit. My Isle of Skye has been one of my favourite kilts from day one and I'm sure yours will hbe as well. Wonderful work from Steve as well.
