    My New X Marks Kilt

My new kilt from Freedom Kilts has arrived. Steve Ashton is a master craftsman. I am retired US Air Force and wanted my kilt to reflect Air Force blue. This one is perfect. Steve guided me through out the selection process and his advice was invalueable. He's a pro. I was also pleased to learn that he is also a veteran (USMC) and I am honored that my kilt was made by a warrior. By the way Steve, I love the pockets.

I know that without photos it did not happen so will now attempt to post.

    Larry

That kilt pin is not just an Air Force kilt pin, that is a SAC pin. I loved SAC and some of the best times of my Air Force career. Great kilt as well. "To err is human to forgive is not SAC policy"

That's a mighty fine lookin' kilt there, sir. The buckle's pretty awesome, too.

That's a fine lookin' kilt and I dig the shillelagh too, but I gotta call shenanigans, here.

Larry: Great looking outfit! - another example of white shirt and hose looking good with a kilt (IMHO). I like the knarly stick (shillelagh?), too.

My brother retired after 23 years in the Air Force. He's been looking for an Air Force kilt. I'll be sure to point him to your thread.

    Thanks you for your service.

Love the Kilt, belt buckle and stick. Any chance of some close ups of your stick? I see it has some painted detail or are they stick badges? Either way, looks good.
    Best Regards John

Thanks Gunny. The buckle is called "American Eagle" and the artist is Don McKee, a former Marine Corps fighter pilot. I was commissioned in USAF 10 Nov 64 which as you know is the Marine Corps birthday because Lt Col John Glenn was in attendance. We had been scheduled to be commissioned 11 Nov for Armistice Day. Will try to post close up of buckle. Thanks for your service.
