A one-off Hemp Box Pleated FK

A customer who already has other FK's came in and asked for a special one-off Kilt.
This is not my first Box Pleated Kilt but the first in a long time.
It is also made from Hemp that I begged Robert at R-Kilts to sell me.

Here's a front shot

And a pleat shot.

Fred had just spent three hours sitting in the car on a warm day.

It is Black, fastened with three straps & buckles and has 2 Side Slash Pockets.
For those who have asked if I could do a Box-Pleated Hudson's Bay Tartan this is pretty much what it would look like.

Outstanding job, Steve! That one-off is one fine looking kilt!

The pleats have held up really well for being "sweat pressed" for 3 hours; certainly a lot better than my UK looks after a similar treatment. I'd attribute that to both your fine workmanship & the amazing qualities of hemp.

Good on ya, man!

I resemble that remark

It looks awesome! I am definitely going with that!

The only concerns I have now, is the care and feeding of a wool tartan kilt. I'm very happy for the convenience of wash and wear. I don't know if I'm going to be so afraid of getting a wool tartan kilt dirty, that I'd never wear it.

Mike

PS Nice fluevog boots!

Wasn't Fred at the Victoria kilt night in April? I thought he and Andrew stayed an terrorized the waitresses until 3 am. The kilt looks great, Steve.

That is a nice looking kilt Steve, and Fred looks very happy with it, thanks for the photos.
