What's up with the FK Link?

I click on the Freedom Kilts link and go to Island Climbing on Vancouver Island.

Or have I lost touch with my mouse?

I know that there was some talk about a remodel of the site, as a webmaster myself I say you might want to give it a day or so. You could try to get in touch with Steve maybe a PM is in order.

I also get directed to a different site, but I also get a pop up window saying something about the Google Maps API key being registered to a different site. Now, I have no idea what a Google Map API key is (I suppose it unlocks the Google Map API lock?) but I suspect that is the root of the problem.

Their (Freedom Kilt's) Domain record has been pointed (accidentally?) to the Island Climbing site's IP - that's why you get the wrong website. Email also bounces - all part of the same problem. Or, maybe, the ISP published the wrong site on Steve's IP.

Problem with their ISP? Somebody poisoned their A record? Steve will have to get with their webmaster or whoever holds their domain record.

Should be an easy fix, I think - but for an e-commerce site this is bad news. If it involves the domain record it could take up to 24 hrs to re-propagate to the name servers. Double

We are attempting to launch the new version of the web site and are having propogation problems.

My web guy is working on the problem.

Apparently our domain service points to the old server for some customers and to the climbing place for others.

I don't know tech stuff so hopefully things will be OK in just a little while.

Thanks for posting and letting me know.

Steve,
Thanks to you for being on top of the problem.
Too few e-tailers, hmm, e-tailors?, don't pay attention to their own sites and frustrate and annoy the customers.

This morning, 9 am, German time zone, Tuesday, I get a partial load of the FK Website which means that things are going right-er. Good luck with the changeover.

And, just in time, as my girlfriend has decided to take a short break from the rigors of on-line shopping at Victoria's Secret after the strain and struggle of ordering 25 items in one sitting.

Cheers and Luck and Good on ya.

Hmmm! Climbing website? Does Steve tend to make mountains out of molehills? I have long awaited Freedom Kilts new website, I'm willing to wait another five minutes as I'm sure that there are pictures of this FK owner/model for sale slathered all over it (I'm smelling free kilt here Steve).
