Great looking kilt, I really like the colours. Looks like another beautiful job by one of our own. Wear it with pride.

What a fantastic looking tartan, and magnificent looking kilt it made.

I can echo the feelings of the other posters so far bysaying that ever since the first time I stepped into Steve's shop I knew he would be making many a kilt to hang in my closet. I took my wife to be and kids there to meet him and luckily through his curmudgeonly charisma sh'e never second guessed my kilt spending!

That's looks great! The Ulster tartan is one of my personal favourites, especially in the Weathered shade. I had planned on buying some from F&K back when it was in the remnants section, but alas it was all gone!

I have some of that run of Ulster sitting here.... think I need to give Steve a call once I have topped up my bank account - darn, hate when I have to spend money on things like car repairs uggggggg!

Btw I have started to use a monetary system in my head called "kilt units" This brake job was 1.5 kilt units.

I was lately revisiting Calvin Trillin's "Tummy Trilogy" and "Feeding a Yen," two of the best examples of food writing I know. (Four examples? One is a trilogy, after all...)

Anyway, he writes about his late wife Alice, who had her own brand of economics: if you don't purchase something you want, you then have "saved" that money to be spent on something else. So: if you don't buy the big-screen TV, you now have that equivalent amount of cash to drop on kilts.

Not being an economist, nor playing one on TV, this makes as much sense as any other economic theory to me.

The Ulster in weathered or ancient looks great, especially with daywear.
