Yes I'm afraid that we did have to censor the posts. Please see the rules

Hmmm, yes I rather *thought* the vocabulary/anatomical references wouldn't be appreciated in a family oriented forum when I read them: my question is why did the response jump to a different section? Putting it in "Kilt Advice" as a heads up to the general populace?

Sometimes when we move part of a thread it goes to kilt advice as a default.

    Sorry

    Clarification

I am not disagreeing with the mods rights to censor, or the FAQ's of the board, but was it necessary to censor an entire thread that had some good debate? I believe that there were only 2 posts (out of 60-70) that were questionable, the first from kilterpride to me that was his own guidelines for what he wore under his kilt, and actually included some information about going regimental in a traditional kilt causing chafing (which I personally had not thought about and found useful) and how he addressed the issue. The last comment/question in my reply to him may have gone a little too far, but was actually intended as a tongue in cheek question, with no response necessary. I actually went in this morning to remove the final question for that same reason as I thought it might have gotten a little off track, but could not find the post. I understand that KP actually did post a response (I never got to see it), and now the entire thread is gone. Earlier in that thread a mod (mike1 I believe) had posted a comment to keep the debate spirited but not let it get personal. Could that same approach have been used here? Or just the 2 posts in question deleted?

Also, is there any reason that a PM was not sent asking me, or KP to review a questionable post and suggest changing it or deleting it? I like to think I am a reasonable person, and as I have stated, we did get pretty far off topic, but I don't think that is a reason to remove the entire thread with good information for others looking to go kilted and faced with the question in other contexts.

    Thanks!

This thread was a split off of the original thread by accident. The other thread was not deleted.

A couple of the posts were deleted but the rest of it is up and running.
This thread will be closed an all other comments should go there.
