I guess I am now certifiable.

I recently completed the classes and obtained my Criminal Justice Instructor Certification. I thought about doing it for a long time (too long as it turned out) before biting the bullet and taking the chance. I still have a lot of classes to get through to enhance my general certification but a large step was taken.

For those of you who may not know. I work in the prison system in North Carolina and I am now certified to teach some of the classes required for employees to retain their certification as Criminal Justice Officers.

I also just had an interview for a Sergeant position at another prison...So hopefully that will come through for me as well.

    Graham

Congratulations on updating you scholastic credentials. I know how hard it is to go back to school, make the time to study and work, with all the other demands on your time. Hope you continue and all the best for the promotion. Cheers

Congratulations! I went through Kentucky's law enforcement instructor certification program a couple of decades ago, so I have some idea of the process. Unless NC is very different than Kentucky - and I doubt that it is, in this regard - 'tain't an easy process. OTOH, few things are as rewarding as watching the lights come on when trainees finally "get it," especially when what you're teaching may save their lives.
