    Re: Friends of Laphroaig

So a few of us got together last night for a Burns Supper and we tied into the bottle of Laphroaig. I liked it. WBHenry seemed to enjoy a shot, his wife not so much. The smell semed to put her off. That was completely forgiven, however, as she provided us with a dessert that got our attention. It was called "Tipsy Laird" and features a belt of Drambui soaked into the cake and topped with cream and raspberries. Andrew went back for more, as did I and we all made our way through a shot of the selection of three scotches WBHenry brought with him. My first shot of Glenlivet. I liked it, had a mellow flavor with a bite on the tongue and lips.
I wish I believed in reincarnation. Where's Charles Martel when you need him?

Hello neighbors; Plot 528761 here. Yea, it first tasted "medicinal" to me too and now that you mention it, sorta reminiscent of telephone polls. I wasn't sure I liked it at first but now after a few "doses," its my favorite. "Oh nurse, can I have some more of that medicine please?"
