    horse's neck?

Anybody here like a Horse's Neck? From what I understand, it's 1 bourbon to 3 ginger ales on the rocks with a stem of lemon peel. I tried it this afternoon with brandy (I'm out of bourbon). I didn't much care for it. Is it good when made correctly?

This sounds more like a "Horses Neck Sweat", although I think if it was made the right way it'd be better. I've never had anything that tasted good mixed with brandy.

My suggestion is to replace the bourbon with gin and the ginger ale with 7Up.

Rye and ginger is a very popular drink up here in Canada and although I don't like soda pop all that much, I do like the taste of rye and ginger ale.

I've had ginger ale with bourbon, when I've run out of rye and it's just as good.

Brandy would be different and I'm not sure I would care for it.

The brandy was a last-minute experiment that didn't work. I bought a bottle of Jim Beam black 8-year old today, and some lemons, so I'll let you know how it goes.
