    Carolina kilt pin

Fellow Tarheels (or Wolves or Blue Devils or Demon Deacons or Bears or Pirates or Catamounts or whatever else):
I've been thinking that we all need kilt pins to reflect our Scottish/NC heritage and so am proposing that someone who works in metal could produce said pins designed as follows:
a dogwood bloom and a thistle bloom with the stems wrapped around each other, with the thistle on the left to signify our history and the dogwood on the right to symbolize our present.
I don't do metalwoork, but I've seen examples of people on this forum who do, such as the recently completed and very handsomely done XMTS Saltire pins.
    Interested?

Stuart Nye makes a wonderful dogwood pin that I use as a kilt pin on my Carolina kilt.

I wear it rotated 90 degrees from how it appears in the picture, so that it is vertical rather than horizontal. Never fails to get compliments.

This is what I use on my Carolina kilt

Very nice, Matt. Virginia's state flower is the Dogwood, too. Alas, but we don't have an official state tartan. Senator Webb, Senator Webb. . .
