converted sport coat and Jacobite shirt

This post spans a bunch of different categories but I decided to put it here, because I did the jacket conversion myself.

So here goes... Does anyone in here ever wear a sport coat over a Jacobite shirt? And what are the thoughts on this? I have a few pictures here, so tell me what you think of 1) the look of two together and 2) the job I did on the coat.

The pictures aren't the best, I just threw the clothes on a few minutes ago for the sole purpose of asking you're guys' opinions. I know I personally look like crap in these pics, so don't pay attention to that lol. When I plan on going out in public I'll clean it up a bit. Thanks guys.

I have to admit I'm not feeling the jacobit shirt with kilt jacket look. I think it's the lacing on the the shirt that throws me. I do like the jacket. However, I'd wear it with button down shirt.

I think the sport coat looks great nice job I am not sure about combing it with the jacobite shirt. Really not my style but that is just an opinion take it for what it is worth.

I've seen the Jacobite shirt and Jacket done, but I'm not sure about it, I think you did an admirable job on the jacket itself, it looks better undone IMHO.

Well, I'm just not a fan of the Jacobite shirt in general (too costumey IMO.) But, that jacket is sweet!

No buttons and laces combined-too anachronistic for me. Good job on the jacket, but just a little more curve needed.

Oh, was there a man under that clothing that needed cleaning up...I hadn't noticed!

Greens are difficult to match, aren't they? They lie right in the center of our eye's frequency range, and I believe we're most sensitive to the shades of color in that part of the spectrum.

The jacket is gorgeous! What a nice tweed. As The F-H.C.A.G. says, the corner in front could be rounded more---in fact in that regard it looks just like my first conversion.

Nice coat - but I must echo the sentiments about wearing it with that style shirt - I don't think I would do it.
