    Digicamo RK kilt pics

I've excerpted a couple of pics from my backpacking thread over in the pics forum, just to slap something up here.

This was a quick and dirty project to get me a backpacking kilt and satisfy my itch for a new kilt while I worked on more substantial projects. Specifics?

It's about 5 yards of digicamo from JoAnne's. The kilt is a Reverse Kinguisse style (thanks, Pleater and sydnie7 for convincing me to try!) I had to cut the piece I bought into 56-inch wide sections, and stitch them together to get the digicamo pattern aligned correctly. Thus, there are two seams hidden in the kilt in the underside of the pleats. Pleats are about a 1.25 inch reveal, the pleats are set up as if on a 5-inch sett...which isn't there, of course. I made a wider waistband this time...a nod to the Wizard. Closure is velcro, as I wanted the minimum amount of bulk under my backpacks waistband.

Looks great, Alan! I have about four digicamo RevKs in the queue. . . wondering if I should try to make them all in a row, or rest my eyes on some other material in between!

You will surely glide through the undergrowth in that, and it looks a good fit too.

    Well done that man!

How wide is that waistband, Alan? I can't really tell from the photos.

It's about 2.5 inches. It's much like a blue jeans waistband, instead of the narrow waistband I put on my trad kilts.
