    DIY attempt number 6

    I've made up my mind. I ain't wasting no more time. Here I go again!

    Grampian Modern from Marton Mills 16 oz. wool. It will be pleated to the sett. Stay tuned!

    I did a test pleat pinning to the actual measurements to make sure the elements for the pleats that I chose would recreate the sett proportionately. I'm satisfied with the results so now it's on to stitching pleats.

    Looks great so far. I'd say that you're off to a fine start!

    BTW, that's a gorgeous tartan you're working with as well...

    So far, so good. I wanted to make sure my pleats don't wander so I drew in the center lines and pleat outlines with chalk. I'm hoping this chalk will come off when I press it. I've noticed that wool is much easier to work with than the PV I've stitched in the past.

    The pleats are finally done. Luckily, this time there is no hem to stitch. I'm super stoked about that. I'm loving this kilt, but in a strictly pleatonic way.
