DIY Wolf Kilt Pin

Hey All, thought I would share one of the latest projects. The wolf head pendant I got from a seller on Ebay, and the Tie tacks came from the local Hobby Lobby. It was an easy project. It took all of 10 minutes to do, if that long. The longest was gathering supplies.

Here is the initial view of the pendant sans necklace.

Here is the pendant once the 5 minute epoxy was applied and the tie tack backs were applied.

And the finished project on Black Stewart:

I'm pretty pleased with the results. The clasps do not fit down all the way to the fabric, so I'm going to back them with some scrap fabric or leather so they fix snugly. Otherwise it sags slightly and you can't see the face well enough. It's a little lighter than I thought it might be, but it's mostly there for decoration anyways, right?

I thought it appropriate since I have ties to Robertson and Skene clans (both their coat of arms feature Wolves) and my sur-name (which is Swiss) also features wolves.

Hope you enjoy!

Aaron

This is a really clever conversion - you make it look so easy. Well done.

Regards
