I am not sure if this should be posted here or "off topic" (please feel free to
move)
I am not sure why someone would do this (possibly for display) but it seems like
more work than a real one... http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wXlW-IfSS-...sPg1finalx.jpg http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wXlW-IfSS-...sPg2finalx.jpg

Very clever solution to the problem of "no food allowed." Thanks for the post!
I'll reserve my comments about the classification of haggis as "food". . .

Probably tastier than the "Vegetarian Haggis" I've seen advertised.

I usually don't compare... just enjoy flavors and textures if that makes sense
I wasn't out there Saturday, sadly I wonder if anyone got any photos? Get well soon!
As far as the fake haggis how-to, that's interesting. I guess there are situations where one might need a fake, non-food item for display purposes. Interesting!

Real haggis is a wonderful thing. A gift of the gods, thing of beauty and simplicity. Just take all the best parts of the sheep, throw 'em out, and eat what's left!
Although mine isn't "real" in that I can't get a sheep's stomach in which to cook it, nor can I get all of the innards that make up a traditional haggis, it's darned close to the real thing. (So close many can't tell it's not the real thing.) And . . . it's quite tasty.
As for vegetarian "haggis," well-l-l-l-l-l-l, Cynthia--I just don't know about that! Sounds awfully strange to me. Who could eat vegetables cooked in a stomach? Sounds awful. (Says the guys who eats innards in a stomach.)

I notice that their ingredients for Lamb Haggis is similar to mine. I use chicken livers instead of beef, but it's the same otherwise. Of course, there is that baking bag I have to use in lieu of the stomach, but neither adds any flavor to the batch; it's only to contain the reast of the stuff.
