Beautiful work, lucky daughter. Did you make the blade yourself? What did you use for the pommel?

What did you use for the guard?
I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious! --- Vince Lombardi

I made the blade from 11 guage 440 Stainless and the pommel is from a whitetail deer antler from last winters hunt. The stainless buttom was a 3/8 sstl bolt with the head turned and polished.

That looks really nice with the brow tine left on it like that. Well done!
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

    That is really, really nice!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
