first attempt at carving and new sporran

I recieved a bunch of leather tools from my grandmother but I had not put them to good use. I have had more time on my hands as I wait to head to bootcamp so I decided it was time for a new sporran, and this one would incorporate some carving. I chose to do a Unicorn, as it is the animal on the Cunningham clan crest, which is where my Scots blood comes from. The sporran is not completed yet but the carving is done. I will post finished pics when I get there.

    What do ye think?

Over all, an impressive piece of handiwork. Maybe it's just the lighting in the photo, but I would just suggest considering making the horn more distinctive, if you want it to be clearly a unicorn.

First attempt at carving? I'd say that is a very good job for a first attempt!

Nice work! Well balanced design, agree with the horn on the Unicorn. The finishing touches will make a world of difference. Slàinte,
