    First Attempt at Hunter Sporran

After my first two sporrans, I wanted to try my hand at the hunter style. I should have the kinks worked out next time, but I think it turned out alright:

That's pretty darn good for a first go-round! I'd wear it any day of the week!

    Word! Very nice work.

    What's the hair? Bovine?

I really like the leather cantle - is it your own design?

Thanks to all for the compliments! Yes the hair is bovine lol
On a trip to Tandy Leather one day, I saw a box of scrap hair-on cow hide, and spent a good 15 minutes scrounging three nice pieces I figured were sporran worthy
And the knotwork on the cantle is my design, yes
I took the heron eating the fish from a book, but just the heads. I fiddled around with the knotwork for a couple hours before I got it where I wanted it.

That is really nice. Now I want to see the rest of it. How did you do the gussets? What did you use on the back? Pictures. Pictures. There can never be enough pictures.
