    Flashes, sporrans and... facial hair?

    Well, with a lot of time on my hands getting ready to leave for the U.S and get married, I knitted myself some traditional garter ties and made myself a 'Jacobite' style sporran.

    I'm pretty happy with the results.


    Here are the flashes:






    Here are the purple ones modeled with my NEW Pride of Scotland kilt.





    And here is the sporran:





    I'm happy with all of them. None took particularly long to make and I still have wool in almost every colour.
    I guess I'll have to buy more kilts so that all the flashes I can make will match!

    Just that at the age of TWENTY FOUR I finally managed to grow a decent pair of sideburns.

    And then go to the pub and don't get I.D'd.

    Yeah, I'm with "starbkjrus", 45 and still cant get a good set ! (sideburns, that is)
