A fun full face sporran

Was over at my local Goodwill this morning and Jude found this and suggest I convert it to a sporran!

It measures 10" high and 8" wide. It has a full width zip across the top and a lined interior.

Have removed the backpack straps and need to sew a stiffening section on the back with a strap and rings for a sporran belt. I have a whole $3.21 invested so far!

Plan to wear it to the Scottish Heritage Society picnic in June. Any suggestions as to the type of animal this is are welcome. It has a tag from Carroll's Irish Gift Store and in addition to the shamrock embroidered on one foot, has a shamrock in the mouth.

That is funny! When I was in Franklin last week, my wife and I went to the fun factory for dinner (long story, a really nice steakhouse is in the middle of the arcade).

Whilst there, we spotted a "make you own stuffed toy" booth. When I looked at the empty carcasses on the wall, I made a comment like "look, ready made, full mask sporrans" I thought my wife was going to drop dead from asphyxia!

REAL Similar to mine!!!

Note: put the strap loops/D-rings HIGH in the back, otherwise, it drops bad unless REALLY stiff.

That will be the talk of the picnic no doubt, and it looks like a sheep to me.

MacWage, you're someone worth knowing! Good work!

And, BEEDEE, if you do it, let us see it.
