    fur sporran question

I'm about to start making my first fur sporran.

I've made three in various leathers, but have never really worked with fur before, outside of lining. Any tips? A pattern that would look good in fur, and still be functional for a day at the Renn Faire, would be great.

    Thanks in advance,
    Hoss

I assume that you do not mean a head on sporran? If not, I like the "hunter style" that I made for Scooby from my leftover badger fur. The shape is based on the shape of the fur pieces I had left. It's a conventional sporran with a leather cantle.

There's a thread you could find under my profile.
