    Got a sporran hide in

    Hi all,

Made a hunter for a friend who hunts (kind of works out that way). In return he got me an axis hide and had it tanned. I will in turn be sending it out to one of our local sporran makers to do a day sporran.

I'm thinking the black stripe right down the middle and framed by the brownish/red with spots.

Wow. Very nice. Am I correct in thinking that the bag will be leather with the skin on the front? Fairly upper class for a day sporran but it will be beautiful. You know there will be a demand for pictures once this is done (did that even need to be said?).
