    Hunting Sgain Dubh

    Bought the lovely damascus blade from a chap in Loch Ness ( www.rainnea.com ) and put the handle on today. Decided on a simple antler tip as this is a hunting blade.

    That chap would be our own Rab Gordon. He does create excellent blades.

    ....that he does, and the blades are remarkably affordable. I might try another with some ebony I have laying around and test my carving.

    I've lusted for these for a quarter century when LOML and I were touring the history museum in Glasgow. Lordy, there were case after case of original blades. What a feast for the eye's.

    How's the handle length? It looks like it could be a bit long.
