I just purchased two muskrat pelts (spooran) A piece of Sheep hide.(ghille bog mocs) and An antler (sgian dubh). HEHEHE hence the title. Wish me luck. Oh yeah working on a x kilt also.

Thanks for the feed back. The funny thing is it really not expensive at all except for all the beer it will take to get thru it. I bought two extra large. muskrat pelt on ebay for $12 with shipping. $2 for the antler. and I think $7 for enough sheep hide to make bog shoes and sporran to match. I already have an old butch knife blade that I am going to reshape and polish. I will have to pick up an awl. and some leather needles. Oh do have a question. Probaly for Turpin. Do you use eyes in your sporrans? if so what size? 5mm?
