    The Inverness Cape I made

Here is the Inverness Cape I made for my husband. This is the prototype I made from some upholstry fabric I got on sale. Now I feel like I make the committment and make one out of some expensive wool.

So I see you have upholstered your husband! I think if you add another layer of wool, he will be warm and toasty!

The cape looks very nice. Hope to see more in the future.

That looks good enough for a Sherlock Holmes mystery. All he needs is the deerstalker.

    It looks great!

Is this made from a commercial pattern or a pattern of your own creation?

Actually a little of both. I used a Butterick pattern for the basic shape, then made it more "Inverness" like.

That's great. Unique and hand-made. He'll definitely stand out against the black nylon Inverness capes!
