Heads up to you knitters out there. Robert Jenkins, designer of the John Anderson hose has recently put out top-down version. Pattern's free @ http://knitting-and.com/knitting/pat...-anderson2.htm. You may want to add it to your library of hose patterns.

This one uses a sport wt yarn, as opposed to the worsted wt called for in the toe up.
