I discovered this site many years ago, and was very impressed with the simple approach.Although I don't completly follow his ways, (or anyone elses for that matter) it was a good basic introduction. I do the internal work much more throughly and use a lot more strenghtning stitches as well

Thanks for the site adres. I wanted to make my own kilt last year but my bookmark was deleted. Now I have it again. although now I know there is a book about the art of kiltmaking as well. Still a good start before the book arrives.

Thanks for that link, have added it to my favorites list under Kiltmakers.

Another example of the choices we have when kilting - not just in the tartan we want and how we want the pleats to be sewn up - but also the choice of kiltmakers.

Seems every kiltmaker has their own way of sewing up a kilt so its really kind of Chris to show us how he sews up a kilt.
