Looking for a U.S. supplier of sporran parts
I am interested in finding someone who sells sporran parts here in the United States. I am looking for cantles and bells to make dress sporrans. I have the hides, liners, and everything else. If someone out there has a source it would be greatly appreciated.

Clan Art is the only one I have bookmarked, but I 'm sure that there are others.
I am easily moved for sympathy for dogs, far more so than for humans, because dogs do not understand. There is no way to explain that you will return, that the vet will make it all better, that they cannot go shooting today because that is not what today is about. They cannot work out that their misery is finite and will some time end, and so their misery is magnified.

I have looked for a U.S. supplier of cantles and bells for sporrans for several years, and I don't think that one exists. China and Pakistan is a source for cheap stuff and ClanArt is the only source for quality stuff that I have ever found. Then the problem is the minimum quantities that they want to have for each order. ClanArt isn't interested in selling one at a time.
We probably need to get severl of us together and make an order, and then split the order up.

I'm with Jay...I too have looked and looked, perhaps not as long as he has but...nada.
I don't begrudge ClanArt their aversion to selling stuff piece-meal if that's the way they want to do business but...how do I put this tactfully?...they really don't seem to want to do business at all. At least not long distance or over the internet. I emailed them numerous times (never got to the point of even suggesting quantities) and only ever got one response from them.
So I gave up and went looking elsewhere. Nice silver (sterling) balls are available off the shelf. As is silver (or silver coloured) chain. Cantles...well you're stuck there, I'm afraid.

Depending on what you want L&M while not a U.S. supplier is not far off they are Canadian, I know Matt had something on the STM website

Not to quibble or be contrary but L&M says right up front that they are wholesalers only...or they did last time I linked to them.

I to have talked to clanart and they do not seem to be interested in selling cantles one at a time. Although Cuillinn Craft will gladly sell you one of their custom made silver cantles ( that actually work ) but they want several hundred dollars. I am still working on them about cantle plates and bells.
