Made my own sporran belt from parts

I started by buying a 6' leather dog leash from a discount seller for under $10. Your advice was helpful on the tools I needed to sew the leather. I went to Michaels (a large Craft store chain) and bought a leather awl. Normal price was $16.99, I had a coupon for 40% off so for about $10 I now have a tool that will be useful for future sporrans, belts, etc. I stopped by Goodwill and bought a used woman's belt for $.99 purely for the buckle. Not a bad job for my first time. I think that over the holidays I will take it apart and trim the ends, use my dremmel and make perfect holes. For now, here are my photos.

Thanks for the advice, I was able to sew it up in less than 45 minutes while watching the Curb your Enthusiasm season finale.

Nice job, makes me reconsider purchasing a belt.

But now how are you going to walk the dog?

I've been hunting for narrow belts to convert. Now 'dog lead', I never thought of that!

John, look in the 'ladies' section - they generally have thinner belts and far more colours. Thats where mine came from.
