Man Cave Celtic Totem Pole

I recieved this commission to make a corner post for a gentlemans Man-Cave. He told me to include a woodspirits face, owl, Celtic Cross, and a heart with his wifes and his initials.
Trying to stay with the celtic theme heres what I came up with,..enjoy:

I wrapped it up today, sanded, burned, stained, and laquered....FIN!! wheres my cabbage!!
I completed the carving part and decided to let it breath,

and maybe to the "turning" test.

I took it back and started to scorch it to raise the grain and give it some depth.

I also added a little accent paint to give more dimension.

..
Next: The finished piece...

I think I will stick with my walking stick you made for me. That's quite a big one! Great work! Very impressive!

Most welcome. And thank you for posting pics. That's one of the reasons I hang out here - because I know something great and beautiful will come along.
