Need ideas on what to do with some fabric

I have 2 yards of Kerr tartan, and it is just buggin' me having it sit there. So I'm trying to think of something to do with it. So far my thoughts have been a vest, but I'd like to hear some other ideas? So far I have matching kilt, flashes, and tie.

You could make a fly plaid, which would take a bit more than a square yard, or perhaps hose, which would use about 1 1/2 yards. There are some threads here on how to do it, going over several options.

If you make the vest on the bias for the front with satin for the back, as well as the hose on the bias, you might likely have enough material for both.

If it's double width you can make a box pleated kilt.

What he said. Shame to waste a kilt length fabric unless you already have a Kerr kilt.

Here is an idea I've been kicking around. On occasion I wear shirts with epaulets, I like to stick my balmoral under one when its hot or I'm indoors. I'm thinking about making a tartan sleeve for the epaulet. I also have some little jeweled dirk kilt pins, they might kind of cool pinned on there.
