    New Sgian and New Sheath!

I bought a beautiful sgian dubh from Taygrd recently, and I made a leather sheath for it. My first one, but I like it:

I also have a sgian dubh from Taygrd with lapis features, hope you like it as much as I like mine, they are good, honest blades. I must say that your sheath is a beauty and as far as I am concerned, first attempt or not, you have done a great job on it. Cheers

Very Nice indeed I am well aware of the quality of work that Taygrd puts out & awesome job on the sheath! I'm not going to admit to how many blades I have from Taygrd

I think it's great!! Don't think I've ever seen the Scottish thistle combined with a Celtic knotwork motif in such a way, and I like it a lot. The sheath is also good work taken simply as a functional sgian dubh sheath. Very well done, says I!

First attempt or not, that's good work! I like the design a lot.

    Thanks for the compliments
I had fun designing the thistle knot work. I hadn't originally planned to do that; it was just going to be straight Celtic knots. But, the design I had was too simple and small, so I then thought about the thistle. This is, after all, a Scottish knife I decided to combine the two and this is what came out!
