    New Sporran

I recently attended the Bannockburn commemoration. On arrival I noticed some friends and one young lady showed me a new sporran type bag that she had gotten made and the guy standing beside her had made it.

I commented that I liked his work and that his own sporran was rather special, I said that I had always wanted one with a Pictish Boar carved on it, he went into a carrier bag he was holding and said, like this?
I said exactly like that, he then gave me it wouldn't take a penny and wished me many happy years wearing it.

I've found out that he only makes around four a year so I'm truly honoured, also found out that he likes Malt Whisky, he'll be getting something nice at the next event.

The photo doesn't really do this justice

    Sooooo much room inside

    Lovely bit of carving inside

Not the best photo of me wearing it

    Slightly better

    Ready for a song

Before I forget, the kilt I'm wearing is a new addition as well, it's a five yard 100% wool St Andrews kilt bought in a sale from a very reputable Kilt store in Edinburgh for the princely sum of........................£50

I can't see the pictures at work, but that's a great story. Very generous of him to give such a cool gift. Just goes to show there is hope for humanity.

That looks great congratulations to you, what a wonderful gift.

That's a really lovely piece of work. I'm gonna have to start hanging out with that crowd over there more often, I think! (then I know where to find the 'good stuff').
    Hope all's well with everyone!
