Ok, here I go
I have decided that I am going to make my own tweed kilt jacket. Well, not make but alter. I've wanted a tweed jacket for awhile now, and after seeing F-HCAG's detailed instructions, I think that'll be my new winter project. First step, find a tweed jacket. So, this weekend, I'm hitting the thrift shops!
Once the project is complete, I'll post photos.
Wish me luck!

Do you really think you will be able to find an Irish tweed jacket in a Galway thrift shop? It seems like trying to find coal in Newcastle.
Can't wait to see the pictures

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Haha, yeah tweed is hard to come by here.
But actually, I'm going back to Wisconsin this weekend....it's been one helluva semester.

Glad you enjoyed your time in Galway, Greg, and it was good to meet with you both in Galway and Dumfries.

If I can do it, you can do it. The best thing, is if you screw it up, you aren't out a bunch of $$$.
Good luck.
