One sock down, one to go.

My wife finished the first half of the pair of custom fit kilt hose she's making for me.

those are very very nice, do you know what pattern she is using? Also, tell her I like how she's left the markers in for the second one, she's smarter than I am.

    The cuff looks like Toirneach.

... smarter than I, too Trying to reproduce my first sock (when that first sock is a kilt stocking) is what led me to try two at once. Especially so, as my stitch markers tend to be odd bits of yarn.

Yes it is Toirneach pattern with a few modifications, as my Manly Guys leg is 19" at the calf. I added 2 repeats on the cuff and tapered one out in the taper on the calf and the second in the foot of the sock. all else was per her pattern. As i'm fairly new to knitting, i made a mistale on the cuff with the yarnovers, so I will have to try to recreate it so they both curl the same.

that's the exact same reason I went to two at one, that and no second sock syndrome, although I've run into second cuff syndrome the way I do them.

haven't tried that way yet. Once I know what I'm doing I'll try that way. I haven't done anything with the circular needles yet.

Circular needles are just like DP with out as many ladders.

I like to use interchangeable needles and think I will run life lines, using the needle tightening hole to loop the lifeline, on my next pair of hose.

Very nice job, until the second hose is done you can always paint your other leg red.
