    Shetland weave?

I have a line on some solid fabric advertised as 100% wool tweed in "a classic Shetland weave with a smooth, firm finish." Is anyone familiar with Shetland weave? How is it different from Harris or other more familiar tweed weaves?
Would it hold a plead and be suitable for kiltmaking?

It's almost 14 oz/yard, so would be heavy enough.

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Dia Dhuit,

Believe it or not, my living room furniture is done in Shetland weave! It's soft, but very chunky, almost knitted looking. I can't imagine it holding a good pleat. Great to sit on though!
