    Sporran for a handicapped friend V 2.0

I wore the sporran that I had made for my friend with MS, the one with the three inch deep gusset, and realized that it is totally impractical- so I remade it! The interior isn't as roomy, but I think it looks cleaner, and will work for my friend a whole lot better. What do you all think of the new design? The pouch is molded veg tanned leather, instead of sewn chromium tanned.

I once again went with the double braided stitch. I love the way that looks!

That's a pretty significant change. Looks good.

Was the other version too front heavy when loaded?

The distance between the 'load' in a sporran and the belt hanger in back can greatly effect how something hangs.

Cool job on the wet moulding

I had thought about that, actually, and as Artificer said, the load and dimensions of a sporran can greatly effect the hang. It hung weird. I gave it to my friend tonight, and he loved it! I think he'll be wearing it when we go out next. And I found out something interesting. The Lyle family wear the Black Stewart, which happens to be Brian's favorite tartan! The Lyle sporran will look great with his Black Stewart and I can't wait to see it on him.

Yes, the first incarnation was really front heavy! It was deffinately too deep. You know what they say paves the road to hell...
