    sporran idea

well, i had this idea maybe 8 months ago and now i can't find the website... i discovered a site that sold all manner of bones, teeth, hides, and skulls, for art projects etc. they had some wolf skulls that were missing the lower jaw, and i thought "huh, if i put leather on the underside and hung that from a chain, it'd make a sweet sporran..."

kinda like a full mask, except with a skull instead of fur...
anyway, if anybody knows of a site like the one i described, let me know.

I dunno about the skulls, but the turtle shell might be interesting.

Some of the guys on the Rondevouz circuit wear belt pouches made out of turtle shells. Leather wrapped around and held on with brass tacks and a beaded flap. Most use them to keep their modern vices close at hand. A colorful shell of the right size might look good as a sporran under the right circumstances.

Aw man! You should get an alligator head and stick some horns in the forehead or something. Make it look like a dragon skull.

That would be cool. Especially if you could rig up something to make smoke come out of it's snout
