    starting the penultimate kilt

It's the next-to-the-last one. It's for me. I cut it out and joined the halves this morning.

I won't document this one, step by step since I've done that three times before, but, it feels good to finally break out of my miasma of lack of motivation and get started. It's in Ancient MacNaughton.

After this one, I have the Dutch Mackay to do for Piper George, and then I'm an "ex-kiltmaker".

Alan - just like there are no ex-Marines you may become a retired kilt-maker, but never an ex-kilt-maker. Now if you want to style yourself an X-kilt-maker, that's a different ting.

    Best.

Hmmm. I agree with Chas. ESPECIALLY since you've not made my Isle of Skye yet.

    ex-kiltmaker

that is like getting old; Getting old is a b****h but it beats the alternative; dying young.

I think the only really good and for-sure ex-kiltmaker is a dead one
