A Sweater to wear with his Kilt

It took me 2 years and 2 months to complete this hand spun and hand knit Aran for Tom and I finished it last night...finally!!! We talked about it for years, then decided on the pattern and that I would spin the yarn for it as well.
It's a Drops design, not the easiest to follow, but not the worst I've ever tried either!
I spun 5 pounds of natural Ecru Blue Faced Leicester for this sweater and have enough left over to knit...some day soon...a pair of matching kilt hose.

I do believe Tom is pleased with the sweater! I enjoyed the knitting of it but I'm glad it's done and looking forward to knitting the hose-perhaps they'll be done in time for SMHG!

Now you can't do that to us, Lass. No teasing, hear? We need to see the pics, especially those of us who have knittinglassies of our own

The sweater is awesome (thanks sweetie!) however I'd like opinions on how it looks on my size frame.

Thanks for posting the link sweetie! I tried to get the photo in but it just didn't want to go in for me this time.
I think you look fabulous in it!

That sweater is the bomb, as the kids would say! The design, execution, and materials all came together perfectly.

From one knitter (and Atlantan) to another, please accept my congratulations on a fantastic job!

    Thank you so much!
I'm afraid this will be OOAK sweater....can't do too many of those "two years in the making" sweaters! I am, however, getting ready to knit my man another sweater...this time a Gansey! ( A little less complicated and time consuming)
