I threw together a slide show of this nice little hat I made. I didn't want to post all 44 images here. Maybe I ought to make instructions, what do you think? Click the image to view the slide show.

Very nice hat! I for one would very much like a pattern and/or instructions. I think I get it from the pictures, but would be interested to know just how large the circle is etc. as it's hard to tell from the slide show.

AH HAH! My son sneaked into one of the shots. I used a webcam mounted to a goose-neck to take the photos on a timer, he must have snuck in, thank you for pointing that out so I could correct that.

As far as the dimensions, I used a circle 11 inches in diameter. Although I like the way this one turned out, my math on the next one will be slightly more precise. Headband FIRST, then I'll cut the circle to accommodate. Also, I'll use a 13 or 14 inch circle next time. It did not turn out quite as 'floppy' as I would have liked. The torrie (pom-pom) turned out very well, this is the first time I've tried making one from scratch.

I actually think the hat is nicer than most precisely because of the smallish diameter. I'll see what I can make and post the results.

I did something similar a while back for my daughter. It could easily be resized for an adult though and requires minimal sewing skills. Probably doubling the measurements would do it for most. If not....lol the Try-on-a-cereal-bowl Method works for grown-ups too and will cause amusement to any friends/family that witness it.
