Three generations of DIY
Hello all,
Most of this Summer's DIY energy was spent preparing for today.
Beth and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary by renewing our vows.

DIY: Douglas box pleat kilt, matching waistcoat, regulation doublet, sporran, kilt pin, flashes, etc, etc. I refuse to knit hose. A guy's gotta draw the line somewhere. Beth required none of my skill at all. <woof>
Then we had this quiet little fellow Christened

He came out of it a little camera shy, and slightly wet.

DIY: Kilt, vest, plaid, coatee with sterling silver buttons, flashes, sporran, buckle brogues ala-Target/Tandy Leather. If this outfit doesn't score him a babysitter, nothing will.
Dad flew in from Atlanta sporting his new DIY Ancient Douglas Kilt and recycled Silver Fox sporran.

It's been 2 years since we posed together. The inset is for great aunt Karin. I wore my great uncle Bob's watch with pride. Thank you Karin.

The weather did not cooperate, so we held the ceremony in the entry to our <under construction> church. Though we were only dressed for 30 minutes, it was worth every stitch. Ah, such a wait for Burns Supper to come.
Cheers,
Beth, Alex, and Kevin.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!
Thanks SO much for sharing these Kevin. It's great to see three generations in family tartan like this. Wonderful. My wife oogled a great deal at your bairn.

Really admire the bias cut tartan w'scoat under the PC. That's as good a look as it gets. all you need now is a pair of argyll hose to match your kilt, of course!
PS..congratulations

Firstly Congratulations to you and Beth on your Anniversary and the renewal of your vows, secondly everyone looks absolutely brilliant, the outfits of 3 generations really do show your talent.
