Tweed Box Pleat Kilt

This is my second kilt that I have made. I used the supplement to the book The Art of Kiltmaking written by: Barbara Tewksbury and Matthew Newsome.
I bought the fabric from Joann’s Fabrics got it on sale 50% off back in the fall.

Love the kilt pin! Tweed kilts and chickens go hand in hand...

(My chicken is bigger now, but oddly enough my kilt seems to have gotten smaller!)

Very handsome tweed and a fine looking kilt to boot.

Congratulations!

I'm with Jock on that. All I can do is sew a button back on, or fix a seam (and that's only because I had to learn to do those simple repairs in the Army.)

Nicely done!

I haven't worked with a tweed yet, well, not like that kind of tweed anyway.

Looks great.

Nice job there! I also have some good fabric I picked up from Joann's last year that I'm building a box-pleat from. How did you do the fastening on yours?
