Where can I get some Stag horn?

I'm going to be learning how to make damascus at school today, so I'm pretty excited to try and make a Sgian Dubh. I've been looking around at the stag-horn knives for a while now, and I've taken a liking to them, so I was considering using some for the handle. Does anyone know where or how I can get a hold of some?

    Off of a stag's head!

Seriously, though... try taxidermists. Not all hunters keep the horns for decoration, especially if they only hunt for the venison.

Are there any hunters in your area?
If there is a hunter shop, talk to the one who runs it and let them know what you are looking for. They could probably point you in the right direction, for your particular area.

Antlers are sold quite regularly on eBay.

If I'd have known, I wouldn't have hit the brakes this morning and you could have picked it out of the grill of my truck. I've got some nice bits lying about. Wouldn't mind trading for a tiny sgian blade to make the now infamous kilt pin from. O'Neille

Make contact with the hunters in your area.

Don't know any? Go to a sporting goods store that sells guns and ammo. Hang out! Talk to the customers! Talk to the clerks! Most deer hunters have many antler racks in their garages!

Moscow Hide and Fur is a good place that I've done business with before. They have things broken down by quality and size which lets you buy what will suit your purpose. www.hideandfur.com
