    The wife's woodwork

    The missus decided to make me a hiking stick. The oak staff came from a tree that she & her father planted from an acorn. Here's the result... I'm pretty happy with it!

    Excellent! Very sentimental, what with the wood and all, and the deerfoot makes it very..."Fantastical". Like something out of a movie. Pass it on to the missus that I say "Nice Work!!!"

    We didn't harvest the foot, it came from a local deer farm. As far as I remember, she skinned the foot back a few inches, drilled out the oak, & epoxied the bone into the hole.
