If you're interested, I do have a contact that used to sell these at sewing shows. I'll email her and see if she has any to sell.
That would be great, thanks!

The company's website does look a little Ma & Pa. (said the owner of FlamingoKilts LOL)

Did you get a vacuum table, too?

ok. I got permission to pass on the iron shoe information. Unfortunately, she didn't put the price in her email, but if I remember correctly, the price is between $10 - $15.

Kathy Ruddy is a sewing educator and long time attender/presenter at sewing conventions across the US and Canada. She sells a small number of products and notions at the conventions and through mail order with her directly.

You can contact her at:
kathyruddy @ earthlink.net (remove the spaces for a valid email address)

If you'd prefer to talk to her in person, pm me for her number.

Ok, I'm now a fan of this machine. Just bought one and used it to re-press a recently washed SWK wool kilt. Took just a few minutes and the creases are better than ever. Also tried it on some cotton dress shirts. Came out crisp just like they came from the dry cleaner.

Gotta go. Have more kilts to baste and re-steam.

Have fun, gents; However do keep them away from your good tailored jackets!

Mac Ghille Sheathanaich already knew this, since he has invested the time shaping the jackets himself. But you might possibly steam the breast/lapels of your jacket out of the nice shape into which the tailor has steamed them... if you see what I mean

Thanks for the great information and review!

Just one more thing on my "to get" list.

Trousers, too. Even fairly inexpensive suits are pressed into three dimensional shapes. (Factories use shaped molds, and don't fit them to the end wearer, of course, but it's still an important part of making them fit three dimensional humans.) Steam, from a steamer, or even just from hanging in the bathroom while you shower, will undo that shaping.
